This year my finances were devastated, so I started a sewing shop in my home to supplement my income. I have to work at home because of the kids. Sometimes I consider giving up the fostering, but I can't because this is my calling and these children will end up in an institution until they are eighteen if I don't help. Featured Prayer: I need financial help and prayer before I'm put out of my home with my two kids. I'm a 45-year old single mother due to divorce. I don't get any support from their father--they hardly ever hear from him. I went through two surgeries recently - one in December to have a hysterectomy and another this past June to have my gallbladder removed. My body has gone through some major pain and changes in the last year. I have gotten so far behind in my bills - especially my mortgage. My medical bills are piling up too. I have never reached out to ask for financial help in this way because I've always been able to maintain my finances, but I see now that sometimes the struggles come. Featured Prayer: I am a 76-year-old English pensioner living in Kenya. I came here in 2003 with the object of helping someone less fortunate than myself. After many bad mistakes I found myself in financial difficulty. In 2004 I married a lady with a thirteen year old daughter. In November 2007 my wife died leaving me to raise our daughter, Samantha. She is now nearly eighteen and at boarding school in Uganda. My health is now beginning to fail me mostly because of the stress. I cannot abandon Samantha. Featured Prayer: My mother's illness, lung cancer, caused her to move to the city so she could get chemotherapy, radiation, and have her blood checked regularly. Her pension has been cut back as well as my dad's. I was harassed off the job and forced to file a bankruptcy.
